Helen Walton

Helen Walton, born on December third, nineteen nineteen, was a remarkable American philanthropist and a dedicated advocate for the arts. Residing in Bentonville, Arkansas, she devoted herself to her family, particularly as a grandmother, while also making significant contributions to her community.

One of her notable achievements was the establishment of a committee aimed at creating a national museum of arts. This initiative led to the formation of the Arkansas Committee on the National Museum for Women in the Arts, which has proudly held the title of the longest-standing committee in the state for over thirty-one years.

In addition to her philanthropic endeavors, Helen was the wife of Sam Walton, the founder of Walmart and Sam's Club.
