Helena Paparizou

Helena Paparizou, born on January thirty-first, nineteen eighty-two, is a celebrated Greek singer and television personality who has made a significant impact on the music scene. Raised in Sweden by Greek parents, she began her musical journey in nineteen ninety-nine as part of the laïko and Eurodance duo Antique alongside her friend Nikos Panagiotidis. The duo released five studio albums and proudly represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest in two thousand one.

After Antique disbanded in two thousand three, Paparizou embarked on a solo career, signing with Sony Music. Her debut single, "Anapandites Kliseis," preceded her first album, Protereotita, released in two thousand four. With a unique blend of laïko, pop, and dance music, she captured the hearts of many. In two thousand five, she achieved a historic victory for Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest with her hit "My Number One." This marked a turning point in her career, leading to international recognition.

Paparizou's subsequent albums, including Iparhi Logos, The Game of Love, and Vrisko To Logo Na Zo, all reached number one in Greece and achieved platinum status. Her fifth studio album, Giro Apo T' Oneiro, also received platinum certification. In two thousand eleven, she released her final project with Sony Music, a compilation titled Greatest Hits & More. Since two thousand thirteen, she has been associated with Minos EMI - Universal Music, and in two thousand seventeen, she released her most popular track to date, "An Me Dis Na Kleo," which garnered thirty-five million views on YouTube.

In addition to her music career, Paparizou has ventured into television, serving as a judge on shows like Dancing on Ice and The Voice of Greece. Her personal life includes a long-term relationship with her manager Toni Mavridis, which lasted from nineteen ninety-nine until their separation in two thousand eleven, followed by a partnership with civil engineer Andreas Kapsalis from two thousand fifteen to twenty twenty-five. Throughout her career, she has received numerous accolades, including three Arion Music Awards, thirty-five MAD Video Music Awards, and an MTV Europe Music Award, solidifying her status as one of Greece's most influential artists.
