Henk ten Cate

Henk ten Cate, born on December ninth, nineteen fifty-four, is a distinguished Dutch football coach and former player, currently serving as the head coach of the Suriname national team. His career in football has been marked by significant achievements both on the pitch and in coaching roles.

During the 2005–06 season, ten Cate made a notable impact as an assistant to Frank Rijkaard at FC Barcelona. Under their guidance, the club celebrated a remarkable season, clinching both the UEFA Champions League and La Liga titles, showcasing ten Cate's tactical acumen and ability to contribute to a winning team.

Following his successful stint at Barcelona, ten Cate took the helm at Ajax, where he managed the club until October two thousand seven. His tenure was fruitful, as he led Ajax to secure three prestigious trophies, further solidifying his reputation in Dutch football.

In October two thousand seven, ten Cate joined Chelsea as an assistant manager. However, his time at the club was short-lived, as he stepped down shortly after the team's defeat in the UEFA Champions League Final on May twenty-nine, two thousand eight, just days after manager Avram Grant's departure.
