Hennadiy Kernes

Hennadiy Kernes, born on June twenty-seventh, nineteen fifty-nine, was a prominent Ukrainian politician and civil servant. He made his mark as the fifth mayor of Kharkiv, a position he held from November twenty-fourth, two thousand ten, until his untimely death on December sixteenth, two thousand twenty.

Before ascending to the mayoralty, Kernes served as the secretary of the Kharkiv City Council during two separate terms, first in two thousand two and then from two thousand six to two thousand ten.
