Henri Konan Bédié, born on May fifth, nineteen thirty-four, is a prominent Ivorian politician and diplomat. He served as the President of Côte d'Ivoire from nineteen ninety-three until nineteen ninety-nine, a period marked by significant political developments in the country. Bédié was also the leader of the Democratic Party of Ivory Coast – African Democratic Rally (PDCI–RDA), a key political party in the nation.
