Henri Louveau

Henri Louveau, born on January twenty-fifth, nineteen ten, was a notable French racing driver whose journey began in the world of cycling. His passion for speed and competition soon led him to the realm of automobile racing, where he would leave a significant mark.

During World War II, Louveau served in the French Army and was deployed in Africa, an experience that shaped his character and resilience. After the war, he returned to racing and achieved remarkable success, notably securing second place at the prestigious 1949 24 Hours of Le Mans while driving a Delage D6S.

Transitioning to Formula One, Louveau participated in two Grands Prix, the 1950 Italian Grand Prix and the 1951 Swiss Grand Prix, both in Talbot-Lago cars. Unfortunately, he did not finish either race, and a crash at the Swiss Grand Prix marked the end of his competitive racing career.

Post-retirement, Louveau shifted gears and became a car salesman in Paris, where he continued to share his passion for automobiles with others.
