Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, born on January 21, 1989, is an Armenian professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Serie A club Inter Milan. Renowned for his exceptional skills on the pitch, he holds the distinction of being the all-time top goalscorer for the Armenia national team, a testament to his remarkable career.

Mkhitaryan began his professional journey with Pyunik, where he clinched four Armenian Premier League titles. In 2009, he made a significant move to Metalurh Donetsk, and the following year, he joined city rivals Shakhtar Donetsk for a fee of six point one million euros. His time at Shakhtar was marked by a record-setting league goalscoring season in 2012–13, earning him the title of Footballer of the Year.

In a career-defining moment, Mkhitaryan transferred to Borussia Dortmund for a club-record fee of twenty-seven point five million euros, making him the most expensive Armenian player ever. During his tenure, he won the DFL-Supercup in 2014 and led the Bundesliga in assists the following season, showcasing his playmaking abilities.

His journey continued with a move to Manchester United for thirty million pounds, where he became the first Armenian to compete in the Premier League. Mkhitaryan's accolades include winning the FA Community Shield and scoring the decisive goal in the UEFA Europa League final. He later joined Arsenal in a high-profile swap deal and moved to Roma on loan, eventually signing permanently in 2020 before his transfer to Internazionale in 2022.
