Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Herbert Kickl

Herbert Kickl, born on October nineteenth, nineteen sixty-eight, is a prominent Austrian politician known for his leadership of the far-right Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) since June twenty twenty-one. His political career has been marked by significant roles, including serving as the Minister of the Interior from two thousand seventeen to two thousand nineteen and as the general-secretary of the FPÖ from two thousand five to two thousand eighteen.

Kickl's rise to prominence began in the early two thousands when he worked as a campaign director and speechwriter for the influential FPÖ leader Jörg Haider. Following a split in the party in two thousand five, he became a key figure within the FPÖ, eventually leading to his appointment as the federal Minister for the Interior in the first Kurz government. His tenure was not without controversy, notably when he ordered a raid on the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and Counterterrorism in February two thousand eighteen, targeting right-wing extremist groups.

Despite being dismissed from his ministerial position in May two thousand nineteen due to the Ibiza affair, Kickl returned to the National Council, where he has been the leader of the FPÖ faction since two thousand nineteen. Under his leadership, the FPÖ achieved a historic milestone in the two thousand twenty-four Austrian legislative election, becoming the strongest party in Austria for the first time.

In early two thousand twenty-five, Kickl engaged in negotiations with the Austrian People's Party to form a government, although these efforts were ultimately unsuccessful. As the leader of the opposition in the National Council, he continues to advocate for a Fortress Austria and remigration policies, with some analysts suggesting that he has further radicalized his party.
