Herleva

Herleva, born in the year one thousand and ten, was a notable figure in the 11th century, recognized primarily as the mother of William the Conqueror. Her relationship with Robert I, Duke of Normandy, was extramarital, which positioned her within the complex tapestry of Norman aristocracy.
