Herménégilde Chiasson

Herménégilde Chiasson, born on April seventh, nineteen forty-six, is a distinguished Canadian poet, playwright, and visual artist of Acadian heritage. Hailing from Saint-Simon, New Brunswick, his multifaceted career spans various artistic domains, including film direction, screenwriting, journalism, and photography.

Chiasson served as the twenty-ninth Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick from two thousand three to two thousand nine, a role that underscored his commitment to public service and cultural advocacy.
