Hermes da Fonseca

Hermes da Fonseca, born on May twelfth, eighteen fifty-five, was a prominent Brazilian field marshal and politician. He is best remembered for his tenure as the eighth president of Brazil, a position he held from nineteen ten to nineteen fourteen. As a member of a distinguished military family, Hermes was the nephew of Marshal Deodoro da Fonseca, Brazil's first president, and General João Severiano da Fonseca, who was the patron of the Army Health Service. This lineage undoubtedly influenced his career path and dedication to public service.
