Hernán Medford

Hernán Medford, born on May twenty-third, nineteen sixty-eight, is a distinguished figure in Central American football, both as a player and a coach. Currently, he serves as the head coach of Liga Guate club Marquense, where he continues to influence the sport in the region.

Medford's legacy as a player is particularly celebrated in Costa Rica, where he is fondly remembered for two iconic goals. His most cherished moments include scoring the decisive goal against Sweden, which propelled Costa Rica into the knockout stage of a major tournament, and his historic strike during the Aztecazo, marking Mexico's first defeat in a non-friendly match at the Estadio Azteca.
