Hiệp Hòa, born Nguyễn Phúc Hồng Dật on November 1, 1847, was a significant figure in Vietnamese history as the sixth Emperor of the Nguyễn dynasty. His reign, though remarkably brief, lasted for a total of one hundred thirty days, during which he adopted the era name Hiệp Hòa, meaning 'harmonization'.
Ascending to the throne, he was later known as Nguyễn Phúc Thăng. His time as emperor was marked by a lack of substantial political influence, as he ruled for only three months and ten days. Despite the brevity of his reign, he is commonly referred to by his era name, Hiệp Hòa.
Posthumously, he was honored with the title Prince of Văn Lãng and was given the posthumous name Trang Cung. Notably, he was not granted a temple name, which is a significant aspect of Vietnamese imperial tradition.
