Hina Rabbani Khar, born on November nineteenth, nineteen seventy-seven, is a prominent Pakistani diplomat, politician, entrepreneur, and economist. She made history by becoming the first and only woman to serve as the Foreign Minister of Pakistan from July two thousand eleven until shortly before the two thousand thirteen elections. Khar's political journey began in two thousand two when she was elected as a member of the National Assembly, representing the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).

Coming from an influential Saraiki feudal family in Muzaffargarh, Khar pursued her education in business at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her early political career saw her appointed as a junior minister responsible for economic policy under Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. In two thousand nine, after switching to the Pakistan Peoples Party, she was re-elected and became the Minister of State for Finance and Economic Affairs, making history as the first woman to present the national budget.

In her role as Foreign Minister, Khar was known for advocating stronger ties with India and played a significant role in shaping Pakistan's foreign policy. After her tenure, she retired from active politics but remained a member of the Pakistan People's Party and continued to engage in public speaking on foreign affairs. From two thousand eighteen to two thousand twenty-three, she served again as a member of the National Assembly on a reserved seat for women.
