Hossein Amanat

Hossein Amanat, born in nineteen forty-two, is a distinguished Iranian-Canadian architect renowned for his innovative designs and contributions to modern architecture. His most iconic work, the Shahyad Tower, now known as the Azadi Tower, stands as a symbol of Tehran, Iran, reflecting both cultural heritage and contemporary design.

Amanat's architectural prowess extends beyond Iran, with significant projects including the Baháʼí Arc buildings in Haifa, Israel, and the House of Worship in Samoa. Each of these structures showcases his ability to blend functionality with aesthetic appeal, making a lasting impact on their respective landscapes.

Currently, Amanat is also recognized as the architect of the Shrine of ʻAbdu'l-Bahá, which is under construction near Acre, Israel. This project further cements his legacy in the realm of sacred architecture, highlighting his commitment to creating spaces that resonate with spiritual significance.
