Hossein Vafaei, born on October fifteenth, nineteen ninety-four, is a trailblazing Iranian professional snooker player, recognized as the first player from Iran to achieve professional status in the sport. His journey in snooker has been marked by significant milestones, including a remarkable victory at the 2022 Snooker Shoot Out, where he triumphed over the seasoned player Mark Williams with a score of one to zero, securing his first ranking title.

Vafaei made his debut at the prestigious Crucible Theatre during the 2022 World Snooker Championship. Although he faced a challenging first-round match against Judd Trump, ultimately losing four to ten, this experience marked a significant step in his professional career.

In 2023, Vafaei made his Masters debut, stepping in for Zhao Xintong, who was suspended amid a match-fixing investigation. In a stunning first-round performance, he defeated the former world champion Mark Selby with a score of six to two.
