Hou Yu-ih

Hou Yu-ih, born on June seventh, nineteen fifty-seven, is a prominent Taiwanese politician and criminologist. He has been serving as the mayor of New Taipei since December twenty-fifth, two thousand eighteen, showcasing his commitment to public service and governance.

Before his tenure as mayor, Hou held significant positions within Taiwan's law enforcement, including serving as the Director-General of the National Police Agency from two thousand six to two thousand eight. His experience in policing and criminology has greatly influenced his approach to leadership and community safety.
