Howard Stern, born on January 12, 1954, is a multifaceted American broadcaster, comedian, and media personality, renowned for his groundbreaking radio show, The Howard Stern Show. This iconic program gained immense popularity when it was nationally syndicated on terrestrial radio from 1986 to 2005, and has continued to thrive on SiriusXM since 2006.

Stern's journey in radio began while he was a student at Boston University, where he secured his first jobs. Between 1976 and 1982, he honed his on-air persona through various morning positions at stations such as WRNW in Briarcliff Manor, WCCC in Hartford, WWWW in Detroit, and WWDC in Washington, D.C. His tenure at WNBC in New York City from 1982 to 1985 was marked by a significant afternoon slot, although it ended with his dismissal.
