Hsiao Bi-khim

Hsiao Bi-khim, born on August seventh, nineteen seventy-one, is a prominent Taiwanese politician and diplomat. She has held the esteemed position of Vice President of the Republic of China since two thousand twenty-four, serving alongside President Lai Ching-te. Her political journey has been marked by significant roles, including her tenure as the Taiwanese representative to the United States from two thousand twenty to two thousand twenty-three.

Raised in Tainan, Taiwan, Hsiao was born in Kōbe, Japan. Her academic pursuits led her to the United States, where she graduated from Oberlin College and later earned a master's degree in political science from Columbia University. A dedicated member of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), she has become a key figure in shaping the party's foreign policy.

Hsiao's political career began in the Legislative Yuan, where she served as a legislator from two thousand two to two thousand eight and again from two thousand twelve to two thousand twenty. Her influence extends beyond domestic politics, as she has also held the position of vice president of Liberal International, further solidifying her role in international diplomacy.
