Hua Chunying

Hua Chunying, born in April nineteen seventy, is a prominent Chinese diplomat who has made significant contributions to the field of international relations. Since two thousand twenty-four, she has held the esteemed position of Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, following a distinguished career as the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Her journey in diplomacy began after graduating from Nanjing University in nineteen ninety-two, where she majored in English language and literature. Hua joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a section member, quickly ascending through various roles. From nineteen ninety-two to two thousand three, she served in the Department of Western Europe and the China Embassy in Singapore, gaining invaluable experience as a staff member, attaché, and third secretary.

Hua's expertise continued to grow as she took on roles in the Mission of China to the European Union from two thousand three to two thousand ten, where she served as second secretary, first secretary, and counselor. Her leadership skills were further recognized when she became counselor at the Department of European Affairs from two thousand ten to two thousand twelve, and later as deputy director general of the Department of Press, Communication and Public Diplomacy from two thousand twelve to two thousand nineteen.

In two thousand nineteen, she was appointed director general of the Department of Press, Communication and Public Diplomacy, a role she held until two thousand twenty-five. Additionally, Hua served as the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs from two thousand twenty-one to two thousand twenty-four, showcasing her dedication and commitment to advancing China's diplomatic efforts on the global stage.
