Ibrahim Iskandar of Johor, born on November twenty-second, nineteen fifty-eight, is a prominent figure in Malaysian royalty, serving as both the King of Malaysia and the Sultan of Johor. His lineage traces back to his great-grandfather, Sultan Sir Ibrahim, and he became the heir apparent when his father, Sultan Iskandar, ascended to the throne in nineteen eighty-one. Ibrahim was officially named Crown Prince of Johor on July third of the same year.
His educational journey took him to Trinity Grammar School in Australia, where he laid the foundation for his future leadership. In nineteen eighty-two, Ibrahim married Raja Zarith Sofiah, and together they have six children, including Ismail Idris and Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, who continue the royal legacy.
Following the passing of his father in two thousand ten, Ibrahim ascended to the throne as Sultan of Johor. His reign has been marked by significant milestones, including his election as King of Malaysia on October twenty-seventh, two thousand twenty-three, and his subsequent swearing-in on January thirty-first, two thousand twenty-four. His installation in July two thousand twenty-four is anticipated to be a notable event in his royal journey.
