Ibtihaj Muhammad, born on December fourth, nineteen eighty-five, is a trailblazing American sabre fencer, author, entrepreneur, and Olympic medalist. She made history at the 2016 Summer Olympics by becoming the first American woman to compete in the Olympics while wearing a hijab. Her remarkable achievement as the first American Muslim woman to win an Olympic medal, along with being the first Black woman to secure a medal in the sabre event, culminated in a bronze medal in the women’s saber team event.
