Igor Vori

Igor Vori, born on September twentieth, nineteen eighty, is a distinguished Croatian handball coach and former player, currently leading the Croatian club MRK Sesvete. Renowned for his exceptional skills as a line player, Vori is celebrated for both his defensive prowess and attacking capabilities, solidifying his status as one of the greatest in handball history.

Throughout his illustrious career, Vori achieved remarkable success with the Croatian national team, securing the World Championship title in two thousand three and an Olympic gold medal in two thousand four. His contributions to the sport are further highlighted by his impressive tally of two hundred forty-six caps, making him the second-most capped player for Croatia.

Vori's club career is equally impressive, having won over thirty titles while playing for prestigious teams such as RK Zagreb, FC Barcelona, HSV Hamburg, and Paris Saint-Germain. His accolades include being named the most valuable player at the two thousand nine World Championship and the best defensive player at the two thousand eight European Championship, alongside multiple medals from World and European Championships.

In addition to his playing career, Vori served as the sporting director for the Croatian national teams, showcasing his commitment to the development of handball in Croatia. His legacy was further cemented when he was inducted into the EHF Hall of Fame in two thousand twenty-four.
