Vegard Sverre Tveitan, known to the world as Ihsahn, is a prominent figure in the realm of music, particularly recognized for his contributions to the black metal genre. Born on October 10, 1975, in Norway, he has carved a niche for himself as a singer, composer, and guitarist, showcasing his multifaceted talents throughout his career.

As a founding member of the influential band Emperor, Ihsahn played a pivotal role in shaping the sound of symphonic black metal. His musical journey began with Thou Shalt Suffer, where he not only lent his voice but also showcased his skills on guitar and keyboard. This early experience laid the groundwork for his later projects, including Peccatum, a collaboration with his wife, Heidi Solberg Tveitan, also known as Starofash.
