Ilan Rubin, born on July seventh, nineteen eighty-eight, is a multifaceted American musician, producer, songwriter, and composer. He is best known as the current drummer for the iconic rock band Foo Fighters, a position he assumed in twenty twenty-five, succeeding Josh Freese. Rubin's musical journey has seen him collaborate with a diverse array of artists, including Nine Inch Nails, Paramore, Lostprophets, Angels & Airwaves, and Danny Elfman.
In two thousand eight, he took a significant step in his career by forming The New Regime, a project that showcases his versatility as he sings and plays all instruments in the studio, while also performing guitar with a band during live shows. This endeavor allowed him to express his artistic vision fully and connect with audiences on a deeper level.
Rubin's contributions to music were recognized in twenty twenty, when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Nine Inch Nails. This honor made him the youngest living inductee in the Hall's history, as well as the first inductee born in the nineteen eighties and the first born after the Hall's establishment.
In twenty twenty-one, he ventured into solo artistry, releasing music under his own name for the first time, further solidifying his status as a prominent figure in the music industry.
