Ilona Maher

Ilona Maher, born on August twelfth, nineteen ninety-six, is a prominent American rugby union and rugby sevens player, as well as a social media personality and podcast host. She began her rugby journey at the age of seventeen and quickly made a name for herself in the sport, winning three National Intercollegiate Rugby Association championships while playing for Quinnipiac University.

Maher's international career took off after her debut in two thousand eighteen, representing the United States national team at the Tokyo Olympics in two thousand twenty and later at the Paris Olympics in two thousand twenty-four, where she helped secure a bronze medal for her team in rugby sevens.

In December two thousand twenty-four, she signed with the Bristol Bears in the Premiership Women's Rugby league, starting her tenure with the team in January two thousand twenty-five. Despite her active involvement in rugby, as of February two thousand twenty-six, Maher is currently not playing and has not announced any plans to return to the sport.
