His contributions to the sport were particularly notable during his time with Budapest Honvéd, where he became a fan favorite due to his passionate and combative style of play, despite being a defender.

Throughout his career, Garaba played a pivotal role in leading Budapest Honvéd to victory in the Hungarian Championship in nineteen eighty, as well as in nineteen eighty-four, nineteen eighty-five, and nineteen eighty-six.
