Indre Viskontas is a distinguished Lithuanian-Canadian neuroscientist and operatic soprano, renowned for her unique blend of science and art. With a Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), she has made significant contributions to the understanding of the brain's learning and memory processes.
During her time at UCLA, Indre was an integral part of the Bjork Learning and Forgetting Lab and Cogfog, where she explored the intricate connections between cognition and performance. Her academic journey is complemented by a Master of Music in opera, showcasing her dual passion for both neuroscience and music.
Currently, Indre serves as a Professor of Psychology at the University of San Francisco, where she inspires the next generation of students. Additionally, she is a faculty member at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, further bridging the gap between scientific inquiry and artistic expression.
