Inez Fung, born on April eleventh, nineteen forty-nine, is a distinguished climatologist and a professor of atmospheric science at the University of California, Berkeley. Her academic role is uniquely positioned as she holds joint appointments in both the Department of Earth and Planetary Science and the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Fung serves as the co-director of the Berkeley Institute of the Environment, where she contributes to advancing research and education in environmental science. Her expertise and leadership have earned her recognition as a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Philosophical Society.
