Infanta Sofía of Spain, born on April twenty-ninth, two thousand seven, is a prominent member of the Spanish royal family. As the younger daughter of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, she holds the distinguished position of being second in line to the Spanish throne, following her elder sister, Leonor, Princess of Asturias.

Her birth took place at the Ruber International Hospital in Madrid, during the reign of her paternal grandfather, King Juan Carlos. From an early age, Sofía has been immersed in a royal upbringing, receiving the same quality education as her sister. Both sisters have attended the Santa María de los Rosales School, where they have been nurtured in a supportive academic environment.
