Inga Ruginienė

Inga Ruginienė, born on May twenty-fourth, nineteen eighty-one, is a prominent Lithuanian politician and trade unionist. She has made significant strides in her political career, currently serving as the nineteenth prime minister of Lithuania since September twenty-fifth, twenty twenty-five. A dedicated member of the Social Democratic Party (LSDP), Ruginienė has been an influential figure in Lithuanian politics.

Her political journey began in earnest when she joined the LSDP to contest the parliamentary elections in twenty twenty-four. Ruginienė was elected to the Seimas in November of that year, marking a pivotal moment in her career. Following her election, she was appointed as the Minister of Social Security and Labour in the newly formed LSDP government under Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas.

Ruginienė's tenure as Minister was marked by her commitment to social issues, but her political landscape shifted dramatically in August twenty twenty-five when Paluckas resigned amid financial scandals. The LSDP quickly rallied behind Ruginienė, nominating her for the prime ministerial position. Her nomination was confirmed by the Seimas on August twenty-sixth, solidifying her role as a key leader in Lithuania.
