Ingeborg of Norway

Ingeborg of Norway, born in the year thirteen hundred and one, was a significant figure in northern European politics during the early fourteenth century. As a Norwegian princess and later a Swedish royal duchess, she played a crucial role in the regency governments of both Norway and Sweden during the minority of her son, King Magnus Eriksson.

Her political influence peaked between the years thirteen eighteen and thirteen nineteen when she served as Sweden's de facto ruler. Following this period, she became the first de jure female regent of Sweden, holding this esteemed position from thirteen nineteen until thirteen twenty-six.
