Inger Støjberg

Inger Støjberg, born on March sixteenth, nineteen seventy-three, is a prominent Danish politician and former journalist who has made significant contributions to the Danish Parliament. Her political career began with her election to the Parliament in two thousand one, where she represented the liberal Venstre party until two thousand twenty-one.

Støjberg held several ministerial positions, including minister for gender equality from two thousand nine to two thousand ten, minister for employment from two thousand ten to two thousand eleven, and minister for immigration, integration, and housing from June two thousand fifteen to June two thousand nineteen. In February two thousand twenty-one, Støjberg left the Venstre party following a vote by the majority of its MPs to impeach her over an order related to her role as minister for immigration. Subsequently, on December thirteenth of the same year, she was convicted for her actions that led to the separation of asylum seeker families, resulting in a sixty-day prison sentence. This conviction led to her immediate loss of her seat in the Folketing.
