Ionuț Radu, born on May 28, 1997, is a talented Romanian professional footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for La Liga club Celta Vigo and the Romania national team. His journey in professional football began at Inter Milan, where he made his senior debut, albeit with limited appearances.
Radu's career took a significant turn when he was loaned to Avellino in 2017, followed by a loan to Genoa the next year, which included an obligation to buy. In the summer of 2019, Inter Milan exercised a buy-back clause, leading to further loan spells at Genoa, Parma, Cremonese, Auxerre, and AFC Bournemouth.
In January 2025, Radu made a permanent move to Venezia but soon transitioned to Celta Vigo after just six months. His international career is equally impressive; he captained the Romania under-21 team to the semi-finals of the UEFA Euro 2019, earning the Romanian Footballer of the Year award for his outstanding performance.
Radu made his full debut for the senior national team in September 2022 during a Nations League match against Finland, marking the beginning of his contributions to Romania at the highest level.
