Isaac Joseph

Isaac Joseph, born on September nineteenth, nineteen seventy-five, is a prominent Papua New Guinean politician known for his dedication to public service and community development. Before embarking on his political career, he served as a church pastor, a role that undoubtedly shaped his commitment to the welfare of his constituents.

Joseph entered the political arena as a member of the New Generation Party, representing the Mendi Open electorate in the National Parliament of Papua New Guinea from July two thousand seven until two thousand twelve. He succeeded Michael Nali, who had vacated the seat in an attempt to transition to the Southern Highlands Regional seat.

During his tenure, Joseph was appointed Shadow Minister for the Public Service by Opposition Leader Sir Mekere Morauta. He became a vocal advocate for the Mendi area, highlighting the historical neglect faced by the region. His platform included ambitious reforms aimed at fostering development initiatives, enhancing public service efficiency, improving law enforcement, and addressing the persistent issue of tribal fighting.
