Isabelle Morneau

Isabelle Morneau, born on April eighteenth, nineteen seventy-six, is a distinguished Canadian retired soccer player who made significant contributions to the Canada women's national soccer team. Her career spanned from nineteen ninety-five until her retirement, during which she participated in over seventy-five international matches, including three Women's World Cups. In recognition of her achievements, she was inducted into the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame in two thousand fourteen.

A gritty and hardworking athlete, Morneau has faced numerous injuries throughout her career, yet she remained a vital veteran presence on the team, bringing invaluable experience and expertise. Her dedication to the sport is evident not only in her international play but also in her collegiate career at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where she played NCAA soccer from nineteen ninety-six to nineteen ninety-nine.

During her time at Nebraska, Morneau emerged as one of the program's most decorated players, earning accolades such as All-American, All-Conference, and All-Academic honors. She played a pivotal role in leading her team to its best NCAA Tournament finish during her senior year, all while maintaining a commendable three point six GPA and receiving a scholarship from the Big 12 Conference for her post-graduate studies.

Professionally, Morneau played for several teams, including the Ottawa Fury Women in two thousand three, the Montreal Xtreme in two thousand four, and the Laval Comètes from two thousand six to two thousand seven in the W-League. After her soccer career, she transitioned into a fulfilling role as a physiotherapist and currently resides in Longueuil, Quebec.
