Ivan Gubijan

Ivan Gubijan, born on June fourteenth, nineteen twenty-three, was a distinguished Yugoslav hammer thrower who made his mark in the world of athletics. His competitive spirit shone brightly during the Olympic Games, where he represented his country in nineteen forty-eight and nineteen fifty-two, achieving remarkable placements of second and ninth, respectively.

Gubijan is particularly renowned for his innovative contributions to the sport, most notably the introduction of the four-turn throwing technique. This method has since become a standard practice among hammer throwers, showcasing his lasting impact on the discipline.
