Jack Broderick

Jack Broderick, born on June fifth, eighteen seventy-seven, was a distinguished Canadian lacrosse player whose athletic prowess shone brightly during the early twentieth century. He was a key member of the Canadian lacrosse team that competed in the 1908 Summer Olympics, where they achieved the remarkable feat of winning the gold medal.

Hailing from a family rooted in the rich traditions of Canada, Jack was the son of John (Sr.) and Johanna Broderick, née Flannigan. Despite his significant accomplishments in sports, he chose to remain unmarried throughout his life, dedicating his time and energy to his passion for lacrosse.

Jack's legacy extends beyond his Olympic triumph. In nineteen sixty-eight, he was honored with an induction into the Cornwall Sports Hall of Fame, recognizing his contributions to the sport and his community. His final resting place is at St. Columban's Cemetery in Cornwall, Ontario, where he is remembered for his remarkable achievements and dedication to lacrosse.
