Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Jack Butland

Jack Butland, born on March 10, 1993, is an accomplished English professional footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Scottish Premiership club Rangers. His football journey began at Birmingham City, where he made his debut in the Football League in September 2011 while on loan to Cheltenham Town, a League Two club.

Butland quickly established himself as the first-choice keeper at Birmingham during the 2012–13 season, leading to a transfer to Stoke City in January 2013 for a fee of three point three million pounds. He returned to Birmingham on loan, where he played every league match that season. Following a brief loan at Barnsley, he made his Premier League debut in January 2014 and had subsequent loan spells with Leeds United and Derby County in 2014 before becoming Stoke's number one goalkeeper in the 2015–16 season.

Over seven seasons at Stoke, Butland earned recognition by winning the club's player of the year award twice. In 2020, he joined Crystal Palace but found regular playing time elusive. After a loan spell with Manchester United during the latter half of the 2022–23 season, he signed with Rangers, marking a new chapter in his career.

On the international stage, Butland has represented England at various age levels, including the under-17 team that triumphed in the 2010 European Championships and the under-20s at the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He was part of the England squad for UEFA Euro 2012 and served as the first-choice goalkeeper for the Great Britain team at the Summer Olympics that same year. Notably, he became the youngest goalkeeper to debut for the senior England team in August 2012, amassing nine appearances for his country.
