Jack D. Fischer

Jack D. Fischer, born on January twenty-third, nineteen seventy-four, is a distinguished American military officer and astronaut. With a robust background as a military flight engineer and aircraft pilot, Fischer has dedicated his life to both aviation and space exploration.

Selected in June two thousand nine as a member of NASA Astronaut Group 20, Fischer underwent rigorous training and qualified as an astronaut in two thousand eleven. His commitment to excellence and passion for space led him to embark on his first spaceflight in April two thousand seventeen.

During this mission, he served as a flight engineer for Expedition fifty-one and fifty-two aboard the International Space Station. Fischer's contributions to space science and exploration continue to inspire future generations of engineers and astronauts.
