Jacob Hoggard

Jacob William Hoggard, born on July ninth, nineteen eighty-four, is a notable Canadian musician best recognized as the lead singer of the pop rock band Hedley. His journey in the music industry began when he showcased his talent on the second season of Canadian Idol in two thousand four, where he impressively secured third place.

Despite his musical achievements, Hoggard's career has been marred by serious legal issues. In two thousand eighteen, he faced arrest and was charged with sexual assault against two women. The legal proceedings culminated in two thousand twenty-two when he was convicted of one count of sexual assault causing bodily harm, while he was acquitted of another charge. This conviction led to a five-year prison sentence.

In two thousand twenty-four, Hoggard was found not guilty of a third sexual assault charge by a jury in northeastern Ontario. Following this verdict, an appeal by the Ontario Court of Appeal was dismissed, and he began serving his five-year sentence.
