Jakob Poulsen

Jakob Poulsen, born on July seventh, nineteen eighty-three, is a distinguished Danish former professional footballer who made his mark as a midfielder. He currently serves as the head coach of AGF, a prominent club in the Danish Superliga.

Poulsen began his senior career with Esbjerg fB, showcasing his talent before making a significant move to the Dutch side SC Heerenveen in two thousand six. His journey continued as he joined AGF Aarhus in the summer of two thousand eight, where he further developed his skills. His last playing stint was with Melbourne Victory FC in the Australian A-League.

On the international stage, Poulsen represented the Denmark national team from two thousand nine to two thousand fifteen, earning thirty-five caps and scoring two goals. His contributions to the national team solidified his reputation as a skilled midfielder.

In late two thousand twenty-three, Poulsen transitioned into coaching, taking on the role of head coach at Viborg after Jacob Friis's departure. Initially appointed on an interim basis, he was confirmed as the permanent head coach in December of the same year. In June two thousand twenty-five, he left Viborg to assume the head coaching position at AGF, marking a new chapter in his coaching career.
