Jakov Milatović

Jakov Milatović, born on December seventh, nineteen eighty-six, is a prominent Montenegrin politician and economist currently serving as the president of Montenegro since May twenty twenty-three. His ascent to the presidency came after a decisive electoral victory, making him the youngest individual to assume this role in independent Montenegro, as well as the sixth-youngest serving state leader globally.

Before his presidency, Milatović held the position of minister of economic development in the cabinet of Zdravko Krivokapić from twenty twenty to twenty twenty-two. His professional journey also includes significant experience as an economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, where he worked in both London and Podgorica.

Milatović is a co-founder of Europe Now!, a liberal and pro-European political party that has emerged as the largest single party in the Montenegrin parliament. He served as the deputy leader of this party until February twenty-four, twenty twenty-four, demonstrating his commitment to progressive political ideals.
