Jalen Brunson

Jalen Brunson, born on August 31, 1996, is an accomplished American professional basketball player currently showcasing his talents with the New York Knicks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). His journey began at Villanova University, where he played for the Wildcats, earning national player of the year honors during his junior year and contributing to two national championship victories.

Before his collegiate success, Brunson made a name for himself in high school basketball, leading Stevenson to the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 4A championship. His exceptional skills earned him the title of Illinois Mr. Basketball, and he was recognized as the MVP of the 2015 FIBA Under-19 World Cup. He also participated in prestigious events such as the McDonald's All-American Boys Game, Jordan Brand Classic, and Nike Hoop Summit.

Brunson was selected as the thirty-third overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft by the Dallas Mavericks, where he spent his first four seasons. His tenure with the Mavericks was highlighted by a deep playoff run to the Western Conference finals. In 2022, he signed with the New York Knicks as a free agent, where he quickly established himself as a key player.

In 2024, Brunson achieved NBA All-Star status and received his first All-NBA Team selection. He set remarkable records, including the most three-point shots made in a half without a miss, totaling eight, and tied the record for the most three-point shots made in a single game without a miss, achieving nine. His leadership on the court was instrumental in guiding the Knicks to their first Eastern Conference Finals appearance in twenty-five years in 2025.
