James Barbour

James C. Barbour, born on June 10, 1775, was a prominent American politician and lawyer whose influence shaped the political landscape of Virginia in the early nineteenth century. He began his career as a delegate from Orange County, Virginia, where he made significant contributions in the Virginia General Assembly, eventually rising to the esteemed position of speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates.
