James DeMonaco, born in nineteen sixty-nine, is a prominent American filmmaker renowned for his innovative contributions to the horror genre. He is best recognized for creating the highly successful Purge franchise, a series that has captivated audiences with its unique premise and thrilling narratives.

As a versatile artist, DeMonaco has worn many hats in the film industry, including those of director, screenwriter, producer, and actor. His directorial prowess is showcased in the first three films of the Purge series: The Purge (two thousand thirteen), Anarchy (two thousand fourteen), and Election Year (two thousand sixteen), all of which he also penned.
