James L. Reveal

James L. Reveal, born on March twenty-ninth, nineteen forty-one, was a distinguished U.S. botanist renowned for his extensive contributions to the genus Eriogonum and his pivotal work on suprageneric names. His expertise in plant taxonomy was showcased through his website, PlantSystematics.org, which featured the Reveal system and a wealth of information on various aspects of plant classification.

Throughout his career, Reveal published a significant number of works focused on North American flora, establishing himself as a leading figure in the field.
