James Remar

James Remar, born on December 31, 1953, is a versatile American actor whose career spans over four decades in film, television, and voice acting. He is widely recognized for his memorable roles, including Ajax in the cult classic The Warriors (1979) and Albert Ganz in the action-comedy 48 Hrs. (1982). His portrayal of Dutch Schultz in The Cotton Club (1984) and Jack Duff in Miracle on 34th Street (1994) further solidified his status as a talented performer.

In the realm of television, Remar gained significant acclaim for his role as Richard Wright in the iconic series Sex and the City (2001–2004). He is also well-known for his portrayal of Harry Morgan, the father of the titular character in the critically acclaimed series Dexter (2006–2013) and its revival, Dexter: Resurrection (2025).

Beyond his on-screen performances, Remar has lent his voice to various projects, including voice-over work for Lexus luxury car advertisements since 2009. His recent roles include Frank Gordon in Gotham (2016–2019) and Peter Gambi in Black Lightning (2018–2021). In 2023, he portrayed Secretary of War Henry L. Stimson in the highly anticipated film Oppenheimer, and he is set to appear as General Francis Shaw in It: Welcome to Derry (2025).
