James Tavernier

James Tavernier, born on October thirty-first, nineteen ninety-one, is an accomplished English professional footballer renowned for his role as a right-back and captain of the Scottish Premiership club Rangers. With an impressive tally of one hundred fifty-two career goals, he holds the distinction of being the highest-scoring right-back in football history.

His football journey began at the Leeds United Academy, leading to a professional debut with Newcastle United. Tavernier's early career was marked by a series of loan spells at six lower-league clubs, where he notably helped Rotherham United secure victory in the League One playoffs. In two thousand fourteen, he joined Wigan Athletic, although he faced challenges during his time there, ultimately spending the latter part of the season on loan at Bristol City, where he contributed to their League One triumph.

In two thousand fifteen, Tavernier made a significant move to Rangers, where he quickly made his mark by winning two trophies in his inaugural season. He scored the decisive goal that clinched the Scottish Championship and was named man of the match in the Scottish Challenge Cup final, thanks to a stunning long-range volley.
