Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of James Wiseman

James Wiseman, born on March thirty-first, two thousand one, is an American professional basketball player who has made a name for himself in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at six feet eleven inches, he plays the center position and is known for his impressive height and skill on the court.

Wiseman's basketball journey began at The Ensworth School in Nashville, Tennessee, before he transferred to Memphis East High School. There, he was coached by former NBA player Penny Hardaway, who played a significant role in his development. As a senior, Wiseman emerged as a consensus five-star recruit, earning accolades as the top player in the 2019 class and receiving multiple national player of the year awards. His talent was showcased in the prestigious McDonald's All-American Game.

In college, Wiseman joined the Memphis Tigers under the guidance of Hardaway, who had taken on the role of head coach. However, his freshman season was marred by controversy when the NCAA suspended him, citing that Hardaway had acted as a booster during his recruitment. After serving part of the suspension, Wiseman made the decision to withdraw from school to focus on the 2020 NBA draft, where he was selected as the second overall pick by the Golden State Warriors.

During his time with the Warriors, Wiseman contributed to the team's success, culminating in an NBA championship in 2022, although he did not play in any games that season due to injury. In 2023, he was traded to the Detroit Pistons, and in 2024, he signed with the Indiana Pacers. Despite his early promise, Wiseman has faced challenges in his career and is often regarded as an NBA draft bust.
